Music Theory is Boring
I hear this all the time. (Not from my students, obviously.)
It is the bane of existence for many musicians. We just want to play our instrument and not worry about Neopolitan 6th chords, Phrygian half cadences, or the Locrian mode.
It doesn't have to be boring!
