2026–2027

Schedule

  1. In-home lessons are provided Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM only. Lessons (including make-up lessons) are not offered on weekends.
  2. The studio year runs from August 1 through June 30.
  3. The studio is closed and no lessons are taught during the month of July, and during major holidays (the days surrounding Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and similar breaks). The studio calendar is at sfinhome.com/calendar.
  4. Make-up lessons are not offered for lessons that fall on pre-scheduled breaks on the studio calendar.
  5. Two weeks’ notice is required to change regularly scheduled lesson times. Make-up lessons will not be offered for lessons missed due to failure to provide two weeks’ notice. Request a new lesson time using the availability form.
  6. Families with multiple students must schedule all lessons on the same day. Consistent failure to do so will result in separate fees for each student instead of the discounted rate.

Cancellations

  1. 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
  2. Those who reschedule or cancel with proper notice are guaranteed a make-up lesson. No make-up lessons are offered for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson time.
  3. If the instructor must cancel a lesson, a make-up lesson is guaranteed.
  4. 30 days’ notice by email is required if you wish to discontinue lessons. Tuition continues to be collected until proper notice is given and the 30 days have elapsed.

Tuition

  1. Tuition is a flat fee that remains constant regardless of the number of weeks in a month or the number of weekly lessons a student takes in any given month.
  2. Full tuition is collected every month except July.
  3. Tuition is collected automatically on the 1st day of each month via Stripe.
  4. At the conclusion of lessons in June each year, a deposit equal to 50% of tuition is required to reserve a spot for the upcoming studio year. This deposit is applied to the August tuition payment.
  5. If a student must miss lessons for an entire month during the studio year, 50% of tuition must be paid for that month to remain on the schedule. Failure to do so forfeits the spot to a new student. This payment is not a credit, and full tuition is collected the following month.
  6. Tuition must be paid in full no later than the 10th of the month. Late payments are assessed a 10% fee. After 30 days of non-payment, that lesson time is forfeited.
  7. Tuition increases by 3.5% every year on January 1. Economic forces, including inflation and travel costs, may require additional increases.

Quick answers

Is tuition charged per lesson?

No. Tuition is a flat monthly rate, not per lesson. Monthly tuition reserves a weekly lesson time on the studio schedule and remains the same regardless of holidays, studio closures, or the number of lessons in a given month.

How many lessons are there in a typical month?

Most months include four lessons. Some months include five; months with holidays or studio breaks may include three. Tuition does not fluctuate based on lesson count.

Are make-up lessons or credits given for holidays or studio breaks?

No. Pre-scheduled breaks on the studio calendar do not qualify for make-up lessons or credits.

Are reduced rates offered for every-other-week lessons?

No. All lessons are scheduled weekly. Tuition is based on reserving a consistent weekly time slot. Bi-weekly scheduling is not offered.

Are discounts or tuition credits ever offered?

Credits for missed lessons are not typically offered. In rare cases where a make-up cannot be scheduled despite proper notice, a credit may be provided. This does not apply to pre-scheduled breaks or cancellations without proper notice.

How much notice is needed to cancel or reschedule?

48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Proper notice guarantees a make-up lesson. No-shows and late cancellations do not receive make-ups. If the instructor must cancel, a make-up is guaranteed.

How do I discontinue lessons?

30 days’ notice by email is required. Tuition continues until proper notice is given and the 30 days have elapsed.
