Studio Calendar FAQ

No — dates marked Scheduled Studio Closure on this calendar are pre-scheduled, studio-wide closures. Instruction does not occur on these dates, and make-up lessons or tuition credits are not provided for lessons that fall on pre-scheduled studio closures, per studio policy.

Yes — make-up lessons are offered for lessons rescheduled due to studio recitals.

Make-up lessons are only offered according to studio policy for lessons canceled with proper notice on scheduled instructional days that are not studio closures. Tuition credits are very rare and are possible only if the instructor is completely unable to accommodate a reschedule, or if the instructor is away on a non pre-scheduled day.

Yes — care is taken when designing the annual calendar to ensure instructional days are distributed as evenly as possible across all weekdays. Each student typically receives 42 lessons out of the 48 possible instructional weeks (July is always closed and not included in tuition).

Tuition is charged as a flat monthly fee and is not calculated per lesson. Some months may have 3 or 5 lessons, but the average is 4 lessons per month, and the rate remains the same regardless of holidays, studio closures, or the number of instructional days in a month — similar to school tuition or other memberships with built-in closures and in-service days.
